Here is a pic of the PF Kit for reference.
If anyone has any idea how to do this, I would be grateful. I can find instructions for other models, but not the MFC 9340 CDW. Googling instructions has not been helpful. The fuser unit was much harder to replace than the PF kit, and yet they don't tell you you have to take it in to a service center for that part. Most of the time the paper jam is in the front paper tray the paper is picked up but only. My Brother MFC-7820N will print one page and then the paper jams. The display will show 'REPLACE DRUM - 1.YES 2.NO'. Press the 'Options' key on the control panel. I can find instructions online for every other part that I mentioned above except this PF kit which seems ridiculous to me. To reset the drum counter, follow the instructions listed below. What I need to know now is what sequence of buttons to press on the touchpad to access a maintenance menu in order to replace the PF kit. That sounds absurd because the part was very easy to replace using a video I found on youtube. I emailed Brother support and got on a chat with them but they say that the printer must be taken to an authorized service center. Replacing the PF kit was one of the easier jobs I've done, but I cannot figure out how to now reset the 'parts life' counter on the touchscreen so that the error message saying "replace PF Kit" goes away. I have a Brother MFC 9340 CDW printer and I've changed out lots of parts on it including toner, belt, drum, fuser, and now the PF (paper feed) kit. Reporting it brings it to our attention and will definitely be looked at by someone. If something is not reported, it will most likely slip past us. If you see anyone breaking the rules above, please report the post and/or message the mods.
